I dropped my LG G3 on the ground and the screen cracked horizontally across the top of the screen. I tried to used touch screen and it hardly works. It works if I use long presses, but it doesn't recognize short presses unless I continually press on it. It also appears that the touch screen is unresponsive anywhere above the crack. The weird part is that one I long press on, let's say, an icon. I can still drag that icon around with complete responsiveness, while short presses are completely unresponsive.

Is there a workaround to this or do I have to replace the digitizer?
Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
