I have a computer running Linux Mint 17.2 and three running Linux Mint 18.2. All computer are painfully slow.

When I click on a site it takes a very long time to open the page. Even this site is painfully slow going from one page to another.

When I try to do anything on either of the computer a gray activity circle appears in the tab. It circles for a long time and then turns blue which then circles for a long time. From the time I entered this site the blue activity circle never stopped working.

I have been a Windows user since W95 but am fed up with Microsoft's antics.

I really like Linux, if only I could get it to work without being so slow.. Any suggestions.
