I have been having this issue for some time and cant figure it out! First my specs are:

AMD Phenom II x4 3.4ghz
Ram: 16gb DDR2
Video card: Dual radeon xfx 5800 1gb each
3 1TB western digital HDDS

After playing any game at any resolution / graphic settings the game pauses for a quick sec and then continues. I have no Spyware/malware/virus,i even did a clean slate install on a SSD and still had the issue. Anyone have had this problem? it is very frustrating!!
