This might not be the right forum to post this, but I am just trying to get a sense of what you think.
My friend (with win 8.1) (got a problem with mapsgalaxy (virus or malware?). Every time he tries to get to MapQuest to get directions, this unwanted program pops up asking him to setup and sign in.
Have been scanned with Malwarebyte Antimalware and others such as Spybot search and destroy, SuperAntispyware etc. still could not get rid of it.
Besides a clean re installation from the beginning, does anyone have better suggestions or ways to get it out of the system (any special software or programs)?
Most people seem to have problems with toolbar, but with my friend's situation, there was no toolbar from Mapsgalaxy installed and the add-on have been disabled. No installed program could be found in the program and features section of control panel.
